PAGA defense built on top of ADP and Samsara, not under them.
MicroForensics, built for California 3PLs, warehouse operators, and last-mile fleets sitting in the densest PAGA-filings cohort in the state. Three telematics platforms, one HRIS, one payroll run, one defensible record. Reviewed by named California labor counsel.

Three structural reasons logistics PAGA exposure compounds in 2026–2027.
Macro pressure on margins, then on payroll.
Fuel cost variance, e-commerce demand normalization, DC closures — the structural pressure on logistics margins translates into termination cycles. Each separation triggers §201 / §202 / §203 exposure on top of the wage-and-hour base.
Three data systems that don’t talk.
HRIS, telematics, and WMS each own a slice of the driver’s shift. Plaintiffs’ counsel pulls all three; the employer can rarely produce a single reconciled record. The reconciliation problem is itself a PAGA exposure.
AB5 still has teeth.
Independent-contractor reclassification matters under AB5 remain active across CA logistics. A misclassified driver cohort is the most expensive PAGA fact pattern available; the related §226 wage-statement exposure compounds the base.
One reconciled record across HRIS, telematics, and WMS.
The logistics deployment pattern. Three system classes feed MicroForensics; one normalized record comes back out.
HRIS & payroll
ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, UKG. MicroForensics reads employee roster, shift schedules, and pay-period boundaries. Reconciles the §226 wage statement against the attestation record.
Fleet & driver hours
Samsara, Motive, Geotab. MicroForensics reads HOS records, break events, route segments. The break-event data surfaces meal-period exceptions in real time, before the pay run closes.
WMS & floor systems
Manhattan, Korber, NetSuite WMS, custom. MicroForensics reads pick-pack-ship shift segments and warehouse-floor break logs. The same per-period attestation closes the loop on both the yard and the floor.
What logistics buyers ask first.

We use ADP Workforce Now (or Paylocity). Do we have to migrate?
No. MicroForensics is the orchestration layer above your HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll. We integrate with ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, UKG, Gusto, BusyBusy, ExakTime, Samsara, Motive, and Geotab. Your stack stays. The orchestration adds the per-period attestation, real-time guidance, and adaptive-course routing that §2699 reasonable-steps requires.

What’s the security and data-residency posture?
SOC 2 Type II alignment is in progress; gap assessment and target completion date are available to procurement on request. Standard DPA is part of every Tier 3+ engagement. All data resides in US-region cloud infrastructure; no offshore processing. Encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, audit logging.

We received a PAGA notice. How does the cure provision actually work for an employer with 100+ employees?
Employers with 100 or more employees can request a court-supervised early evaluation conference under amended §2699, which triggers a discovery stay while the employer demonstrates reasonable steps. The stay matters: it prevents plaintiffs’ counsel from forcing the case forward while you build the record. MicroForensics can be implemented inside the 60-day window the cure provision allows. The earlier we start, the more material we can produce.

Can MicroForensics read from Samsara, Motive, AND Geotab? Our fleet runs on more than one telematics platform.
Yes. We integrate each telematics platform as a separate data source, normalize the driver-hours and break-event records into a single attestation record, and surface exceptions across the unified view. Multi-telematics integration is a standard Tier 3+ scope add-on; the base implementation includes one telematics integration and we add others at $6,000 per additional connector.
